#38 – Cloverfield

Okay, so. My self proclaimed helper finally did something..well..helpful. He reminded me that I was going to talk about this movie! Has anyone seen the previews for it? Trailer

So, as far as I know, we don’t know the name yet. We don’t know what monster it is. It’s going to be something new, something America can take for its own. Kinda like Japan has Godzilla. It’s all gonna be in hand cameras like you see in the trailer.

I saw this in the theater, and it was awesome. You had no idea what was going on. At the end of it, you were left open mouthed, looking around asking if anyone caught the name. Just to find out…..there is no name yet!!

If they keep this hype up, and the movie is good enough..I could very well see this movie going very far. I would love to go to the theater NOT KNOWING what the monster is. The first time you ever realize what it is is when it pops out on screen at you. That would be amazing.

It also led me to another idea for a movie, but we’ll save that for next post!

#37 – Another Question List!

1. What is your ideal day? Getting together with one of my very good friends and spending the entire day together. Doing anything and everything that pops into our heads. I much rather enjoy a lot of quality time with one person than with many people all together.

2. What three things do you regret NEVER doing?

– I regret the degredation of my commitement to schoolwork. It really hurt me in the scholarship department. I know I could have done a lot better than I did.

– Not learning how to play an instrument at a young age(since it’s supposed to be so much easier)

– Going to Philmont for a second time.
3. If you could be God for one day, what would you do?

–Settle the religious debate once and for all. Too much killing and hatred is in the name of religions. If it was settled once and for all, then maybe it’ll reduce wars and disagreements around the world.

4. If you could only talk/see/be with only FIVE people for the rest of your life, who would they be?

–My dad

–My brother

–Halli (an extremely close friend.I suppose is the best way to describe her)

–Dan (another good friend of mine)

–And it’s too hard to choose the 5th, so I refrain for now..I’ll try to decide sometime.

Thanks to Jaynee  for this list!

–I’ve really only had one “obsession” in my life, and now and here isn’t the place to go over it. No, it’s not drugs! I’m not a big fan of doing drugs (not so much I’m too good for it as I just have no need to experience it).

–I love movies, and books. And music..and people..I don’t even know what my favorite things are. And if you ask for more specific, i.e. favorite movie, it won’t happen. It’s never clearly defined..I just love too many things.

–Nothing that stands out too much, sadly. I usually find a lotof things, so I’ll be linking stuff a lot probably ;)

About me: Lived in KC all my life. Went through public school, did well when I was young. Figured out that I was tired of all the crap they were having us do, and the little amount of learning taking place, so I stopped caring. Took AP and honors classes throughout high school in order to try and get as much knowledge as possible. Used to be a recluse, but about a year ago I became really social. I’m 18. Mom, Dad, 2 brothers. Going to a community college out here for a year or two to get some of the general ed. out of the way before I move on to a 4 year school. (It’s a boatload cheaper)

Yup, that’ s about it!

–Ideal mate would need a great personality, light, easy going and funny. I always seem to be attracted to somewhat quirky personalities as well. The face/eyes are the most important physical features I look for.  It’s hard to describe my ideal mate, seeing as how I obviously don’t know her yet. I’ll just have to find out when that time comes

–Water, Milk, Pizza and some eggs for breakfast.

–Haha, not hallucinating yet.

–I often go too far with things. Talk about something a little bit too much, or reveal a little bit more than I needed to.

–Pet Peeves would be people who think they know everything. And I can’t eat hot dogs in anything but a hot dog bun, and hamburger with a hamburger bun. I’m sure there’s more..but that first one is the biggest one of all ;)

I’ll do the rest next time!

#33 – So Many More!

There’s so many more of these…

Someone give me something to write about! The well of creativity has been drained.

Wow, it jumped up there really quickly! We’re getting pretty close!

Last book I read was Robinson Crusoe…I love that book.

I chose Invisible Children because it was something I’d never heard of before watching the documentary. And I think that the worst situations are sometimes not even able to be heard. The situation certainly qualifies as tragic, and I would like the get the word out to everyone as much as possible. So, like I’ve said previously. If you haven’t seen the movie, find it, and watch it!

I would like to hope I’m smarter than a 5th grader! But I’ve never seen the show, so I don’t know ;) ..despite what you might think (since I picked up on a career path from TV) I don’t watch too much of it.

I read anything for pleasure. Mostly fiction, however. And mostly fiction set in the past. There’s a few sci-fi books that have peaked my interest before, but I’m not as crazy about it as some are. I’m a huge fan of reading the classics. The books that you find in English class curriculum.

And let’s see. Person I would want to be…Fiction or not?

Fiction would be..

Real person who’s alive would be..

Real person who’s dead would be.. Julius Caesar

I’m gonna edit names in later, cause that’s a hard question.

I completely lost track of time! Couple of these ago it started becoming more tedious than fun.

How about this..any questions for me? Anything you wanna know?

Sorry for the delay, I was “jamming” on my guitar. I put that in quotes because I suck so much that I hardly call it anything other than..well..sucking.

But I’m learning! I’ve never been able to do music, but have always wanted to. So now I’m finally sitting myself down and learning, no matter how hard it becomes.

What about you guys? Anything similar? Something you’re no good at, but determined to learn?

Or how many of you are musicians? What do you play?
